Being a conservative but living in a country with universal health care and born and raised in a country with universal health care, i have to be honest; i cannot go along with the claim of americans saying that socialism is the evil that needs to be killed.

Why ? Because socialism has its pros and cons like everything else in the world. Unless very specific subjects, you can rarely be 100% for or against something. There is always some points that you agree on, no matter what.

So when i hear the republicans saying that they are 100% against socialism, well maybe because no one has ever explained them properly what universal heath care system is. In U.S, the system is completely capitalist, that reminds me the scene of Breaking Bad when Walter White is with his wife at the hospital and his oncologist is advising the surgery to remove the portion of lung which could kill down the road the chemist. Cost of the surgery ? 200 000$, and if he doesn’t have a benefits plan, a house to sell or anything else, the surgery can not happen.

If this had happened in Canada or France for example, he wouldn’t have had to worry about the cost of the surgery, and he wouldn’t have even known the cost anyway, because the universal heath care system works on the solidarity of the mass. The 200 000$ cost would be drowned in the tax system, the million of people wouldn’t realize the cost because they would never get a breakdown of what they paid for this or this person during the past year.

The other crucial point is that the universal health care system regulates all the costs of any operation, from the cares you receive when you arrive at the ER, when you are in the seat of your dentist, at your doctor’s appointment and so on while in the U.S, even if you have the best of the best benefits plan, you still end up paying for something wherever you go.

In Canada, when you go to your family doctor, you don’t pay for anything and you don’t even know how much is it usually. Actually you could know it if you don’t show up to one, it’s about 80$.

So when i hear someone that would rather pay the 200 000$ out of his or her pocket instead of willing to benefit from the universal health care system leaves me…. speechless

Now, what i dislike in the socialist health care system is that everyone is paying for stuff that we are not supposed to, because the health care is made to care, to cure people from disease or handicap that affect them, so when i see people abusing the system to avoid working, to change their gender, i say no, i don’t want this socialism that has made people folllowing new trends.

You can easily realize this is an abuse because in countries like Philippines for example, where healthcare system is… how can i put it ? Shite ? Yeah, where there is no room for whiny people pretending they are suffering from depression to avoid working and staying home with allowance. Well , do you know how do they do ? They go to work, because their lives depend on it, no work, no money, no food, no home. Is that simple.

Make choices like if you were the one who’s gonna pay for it not the rest of the country, health care to care and the other subject, education

Education is a crucial thing in your life, it squares you out for some reason, suppose to teach you respect , to live amongst other, to think and become what you want. And in the same story, i cannot understand why some people doesn’t want to adopt a socialism education system where you don’t have to stack up student debts in raw because the regulated cost of the tuitions are included in your taxes, unless you go for a specific private school. What’s the problem with that ? You want only rich kids to be educated and the middle class loaded with debts and the poor without education ?

Come on, use your brain
